Comio EVC Mumbai 2017 comes to an end with performances from Markus, Armin, Robin, Nucleya and Arijit Singh.

It all started late Saturday afternoon when the best of trance artists came together at the Electronic Family Stageto perform at India’s largest 2-Day Multi-Genre Indoor concert at NESCO Centre, Mumbai.

The air was filled with excitement as music enthusiasts ushered in their tribe nice and early to groove to the remarkable set of the Indian trance powerhouse, Snowflakes. The music was groovy enough to invigorate the crowd and keep them pumped for the day.

The set was followed by Chennai based Get Massive who chose to take the Anjuna route and got the fans dancing to the beat of some powerful tracks by Jason Ross and Ilan Bluestone to name a few.

The evening set in and the crowd was completely energized and ready for Armada Prodigies Ruben De Ronde and Rodg. Having played an exclusive back to back set and treating fans to a few of their collaboration including tracks like Intergalactic and Booya”, they were an instant hit with the crowd.

The festival progressed and the gargantuan stage was taken over by Tech-trance super star Marlo. Having a magnetic energy, his set had the crowd swaying to the commanding beats of Darkside. He ended his set by dropping the tempo with Onaj and having the crowd sing along to it. The next performance was by another trance legend, Markus Schulz who won over the crowd with his melodic-based techno sound, playing remixes of tracks Fireflies and Love Song. The crowd jumped to his songs throughout his performance.

The night was closed by the legendary Armin Van Buuren who started his set with the monstrous ASOT 850 anthem Be In The Moment. Armin’s set enthralled the audience and were even laced with a few classics which had all the fans nostalgic. He went on to play a few of his hits like Sunny Days and I Need You.  Delighted to be performing for his Indian fans, Armin Van Buuren was heard saying, “When I look at my facebook, my Instagram, all those social media posts, I always see that maximum fans in the world come from this country. And I just want you to know- To me personally, every single one of you in this room, makes me feel loved and this is the reason why I do this. Seriously India, I love you. Thank you so much.

The second day witnessed a full house for power packed performances on Day 2 of the Multi-Genre concert. After an extravagant start on Saturday, the Cosmos Stage on day 2 brought in fans in large numbers for the stellar line up and the much-awaited performances at India’s largest 2-day Multi genre concert at Nesco Centre.

Sunday afternoon started with The Unknown warming up the crowd with his energetic set which was followed by millennial favourite singer Shirley Setia who sang covers of popular Bollywood tracks and her debut track ‘Disco Disco’ from the movie A Gentleman. 

French DJ/ Producer Hugel got the crowd grooving to his beats before the big set of German DJ/ Producer Robin Schulz. The crowd went insane when the DJ dropped his popular tracks Sugar and Prayer in the C for his debut performance in India.

Breaking out across the burgeoning music scene in India, Independent Indian Music Producer Nucleya also known as The Koocha Monster slayed it with his tracks Laung Gawacha, Scene Kya Hai and Akkad Bakkad.

The much-awaited performance by the legendary singer Arijit Singh with his encore performance at EVC was the highlight of the second day as he serenaded fans with his soulful performance and sang his hit Bollywood tracks Channa MereyaHawayein. Ab Tum Hi Ho and many more.

Known as the King of Bollywood & EDM mash ups, DJ Chetas broke it down & ended the 2-Day concert with remixes of popular Bollywood tracks Nadaan ParindeyCutie PieSweety tera drama and many others. He also launched a hit new single Jab Koi Baat in collaboration with Shirley Setia and Atif Aslam. This is the first time 2 artists have released a new collaborative song at EVC.  Overwhelmed to perform at EVC Mumbai 2017, Shirley Setia shares, “This is my second year performing at EVC and I had an amazing time. It was very different from last year but equally amazing, and probably even better, an epic year. I think EVC was probably one of my first performances in India and this year was probably one of the best years of my life. I hope that people keep loving me as they do and I keep doing more hard work to keep giving the love back to them and I will try my best honestly. I had an amazing time at EVC, thank you so much for loving me and supporting me like you do, I love you guys.” Devraj Sanyal, MD & CEO of Universal Music Group, India & South Asia said- “We’ve just witnessed one of the finest multi genre concerts the city has seen. Bringing Arijit Singh back to the EVC stage for an encore performance was the best decision we have made. We saw a mammoth crowd descending to our venue to watch a mix of Bollywood & Electronic music today & we couldn’t be happier with the response.”

EVC closed yet another chapter in a big way. The Two-day extravaganza was one of the finest ways to end the year. EVC has certainly surpassed its own benchmark by creating a fun filled weekend with fabulous music that have certainly left a lasting memory for a lifetime.
