Sixth Edition of IndiEarthXChange to offer an exciting line – up for Music and Film enthusiasts

The Sixth Edition of IndiEarth XChange is all set to take place from 24th - 26th November at The Park, Chennai. XChange is India’s definitive trade event for independent music, film and media, and provides a professional platform where world industry representatives, venue owners, media labels, musicians and independent filmmakers can connect. The landmark event will also feature three days of vibrant musical performances and film screenings, workshop sessions and panel discussions.

Music Beyond Borders

The music festival features headliners like world renowned British/ Indian ragga/dub artist Apache Indian, Canadian DJ Dubmatix- one of Canada’s premier dub, reggae and electro artists/producers and the 2010 JUNO Award Winner for Best Reggae Recording - and leading Australian DJ/producer Mr. Bill, known for his production expertise and his high energy performances. International musicians like French jazz act Steak will also feature at this year, as well as four-time winner of the Music of the Indian Ocean Prize from Reunion Island Maya Kamaty–presenting work from her brand new album Pandiye. Also from Reunion Island Saodaj' will bring to life the traditional musical genre of the island with lyrics in French and Creole. Reputed violinist Jyotsna Srikanth– who has performed at leading global music events and venues like WOMAD, WOMEX, BBC Proms, Royal Albert Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall – seamlessly weaves between South Indian Classical and other genres, while international acts like psychedelic / experimental band Songjang Bul Le (Burying Beetle) from South Korea will feature for the first time in India at the festival. The Indian line up includes artists like Prabh Deep known for his hip-hop and Punjabi folk style of music, The Mandolin Sisters who perform classical Carnatic music, and alternative bands like Blushing Satellite, Black Letters, Small Talk, Staccato and the Bjorn Surao Band from Chennai, electronica artist Oceantied, and Gubbi known for his Kannada hip-hop style from Bengaluru.
