25th February, 2018Whether you're binge-watching Netflix or patiently waiting through Hulu ads, alternative music is leaping from our screens like never before. In this musically driven situation, 21 year old Juilee Lav is all set to enthrall youngsters through her first song Please Set Me Free.
For Juilee, music is her passion. She finds solace in it and if you ask her about this song she pours her heart out to you. She says, “I am an independent artist and have been following music since I was a kid. From then I followed my interest and penned down my thoughts. Music has enabled me to connect with every emotion which I have gone through and I have assembled this mood in my first single ‘Please Set Me Free’. I am setting forward on my musical journey with ‘Please Set Me Free’.
Commenting on what the song depicts Lav says, “This song depicts an emotion of escaping from those emotions which have been holding you back. This song means a lot to me because it has helped me get through some tough times. This song depicts an emotion of escape, an escape from all inevitable situations. Too many times things that are dear to us, tie us down. No one really knows how to let go of something that’s so dear to us, so I hope my song can inspire people and help them in their journey. This song is my liberation from the realities of the world. All I can hope is that this song can make people feel something and inspire them.”
Speaking on her future endeavors in the music industry she says, “For me I express myself through melody. Considering this, I believe music is something which understood me. I find connections with songs, and I am sure a lot of people find comfort in music. It can be any genre. I want to write songs that resonate with people. I feel music is the greatest form of art. My art means the world to me and I hope it can mean something to others as well. We have picturerized the song on the picturesque locations of Canada.
