National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) launches its First Mobile Application

National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), India's premier cultural institution announced the launch of its first mobile app powered by Bookmyshow.com. The new NCPA app targets the next generation with absolute ease, giving a user friendly experience and the opportunity to have access to all programmes scheduled at NCPA right at the fingertips.

The free app aims at enhancing the users experience by providing a one-stop mobile solution to receive exclusive information about upcoming events. Not only that, the app also enables users to book tickets quickly and more efficiently, especially with the support of 100% secure digital payment options.

Commenting on this new launch, NCPA spokesperson said, “In keeping with the dynamic and fast paced digital age and the on-going momentum, we are happy to announce the launch of this new NCPA application. It not only focuses on giving an uncluttered experience but also ensures its reach and connect with the younger audience. Our prestigious institution has been bringing world class performances since its inception and we look forward to engaging with an even bigger audience that is today, completely connected and on the go.”

The look and feel of the NCPA app smoothly converts from the online platform to the digital platform and gives its user a multitude of programme details and options to choose from. The app also enables users to stay up to date with all the latest developments at the NCPA.

The app is now available and can be downloaded across all mobile platforms of Andriod via the Google play store and iOS.

Opening its doors to the world in 1969, the NCPA became the first multi-venue and multi-purpose cultural centre to be built in South Asia. Vibrant and diverse, the NCPA today is recognized by artistes, patrons and media alike as India’s premier performing arts institution. The Centre provides a fine showcase for India’s rich performing arts traditions, all thanks to the institution’s training and research initiatives.

The NCPA presents over 600 events each year across all major art forms, most notably Indian Music, International Music, Theatre and Film, Dance, and Literature, Visual Arts and Photography. There are Heads of Programming for each of these art forms who curate innovative events and festivals; representative of everything from classical to contemporary throughout the year. The NCPA produces its own programmes and also collaborates with leading cultural promoters from around the world. NCPA is the only member organisation of the International Music Council (IMC) from India.
