Sony India launches Project Resound, Season 02

After the resounding success of the first season of Project Resound, Sony India in collaboration with Sony Music, has given an interesting twist to bring back the Second Season of Project Resound. The new season brings together some of India’s most popular and critically acclaimed artists, including Nucleya & Benny Dayal, Karsh Kale, Midival Punditz & Kutle Khan and Pentagram. These artists have come together to create four exceptional tracks presented in visually enthralling music videos with a message to Upgrade Your Ears with Sony Headphones. The second season of Project Resound officially kicks off with the premiere of the first music video on 07th July.

Titles of the four music videos along with the names of the respective bands are as follows:

Song: Tamil Fever Band: Nucleya and Benny Dayal 

It is an amalgamation of South Indian Street Music and explosive and energetic bass music. Featuring one of India’s most popular contemporary singers, Benny Dayal& composed by India’s newest and favorite DJ/producer – Nucleya, the song is a globaldance track.

Song: We All Fall Band: Karsh Kale

Composed by Karsh Kale, a legend in his space, the song is a soulful collaboration wherein traditional sounds of India are fused seamlessly with contemporary electronica to make it more appealing to today’s audience. ‘We all fall’ is truly a reinterpretation of the traditional thumri with a modern day music twist.

Song: Twilight Band; Midival Punditz and Kutle Khan

An emotive yet expressive meeting place between Indian classical music and contemporary electronic music, the song is a club banger featuring the voice of the desert - Kutle Khan, set to the beats conjured by India’s original electronic music producers - MidivalPunditz.

Song: Don’t have to Lie Band: Pentagram

A beast in its own right, the song by the Indian rock band is true to Pentagram’s music spirit, featuring the rock band’s signature electro rock appeal with a hint of grunge.

Season 2 of Project Resound showcases the journey of the artists to experience pure music and their attempt to spread the message of “upgrading your ears” to better quality of sound, via better quality headphones. As artists record their music on high tech and extremely sensitive equipment that captures even the finest nuances of sound and the most subtle of notes, it is not possible to enjoy and experience them on average quality headphones. Project Resound Season 02 has returned with the objective of promoting and propagating the many facets of purity of sound. Sony India along with Sony Music’s expertise in Project Resound Season 02, will showcase the exceptional journey of these artists, who have created four distinct songs, each different in its flavor and expression with a common mission to ‘Upgrade Your Ears’.

Recounting last year’s event, which witnessed the launch of the first season of Sony India’s Project Resound with a one of its kind “jugalbandi” you had two of India’s singing superstars, Kailash Kher and Shreya Ghoshal in attendance. As part of the campaign, the singing sensations came together for a web concert and spread the message of “upgrade your ears”. The web concert received a tremendous response from music aficionados receiving over 1.5 lakhs views from 70 countries.
