Saregama brings out infograph on I - Day

On the occasion of India’s 68th Independence Day this Friday, Saregama has come out with a detailed infographic. Packed with information, the infographic is part of Saregama’s continuing efforts to connect with digital media in a meaningful, and entertaining manner.

The infographic is designed to reflect the colors of the Indian National Flag. The saffron section on top first of all covers 15 interesting facts about the momentous day. A slide detailing the evolution of the National Flag across the years is displayed. This is then followed by a few interesting facts about this important aspect of National Identity. Another important National Symbol, the National Anthem is then mentioned along with some indispensable facts about the same.

The white section that follows covers some famous events that occurred on the same date across the World. For instance, did you know that India shares its Independence Day with Bahrain and South Korea? Besides, people who were born on August 15, as well as those lost to the World on this day are featured here. In reference to its musical heritage, Saregama will pay tribute to those great pioneers who made their mark in Indian film music before India gained Independence. India had a great musical heritage in its films, and that is reflected for the first time in the mainstream in this format. Some famous books dealing with the theme of Independence are displayed. This is followed by a list of some famous films released on August 15, as well as their posters. Another list of films, all of which are connected to the theme of patriotism and nationality are showcased next.

Lastly, the green section at the bottom mentions 68 iconic patriotic songs, some of them coming with an interesting titbit.

The infographic is Saregama’s first to commemorate a National Holiday. Previously, infographics on leading lights from the world of Indian music, such as RD Burman, M Balamuralikrishna, Mohammed Rafi and Kishore Kumar were released. An infographic on Raksha Bandhan was also released recently.
