Tata Theatre | November 22, 2025 | 6.00 pm An NCPA Presentation
Day two features Australian jazz sensation Nicki Parrott, followed by the Mike Stern Band featuring Dennis Chambers. This evening showcases the diversity of jazz through Parrott's romantic appeal and Stern's electrifying guitar work alongside one of the most versatile drummers in modern jazz. Nicki Parrott, with her dusky voice and swinging bass style, has won several awards, including Swing Journal's Best Vocal Album and a Golden Disc Award. She will be accompanied by Steve Russell on keyboards - regarded as one of Australia's finest jazz pianists who has performed with artists including Nancy Wilson and Wynton Marsalis - along with Dave Sanders on drums and Todd Hardy on trumpet. Parrott's journey from learning piano and flute at age four in Newcastle, Australia, to performing with the legendary Les Paul for over a decade speaks to her musical versatility.
Following her set, six-time Grammy nominee Mike Stern takes the stage with his band featuring Dennis Chambers, who was inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 2001. Stern began playing guitar at age 12, inspired by legends like Clapton and Hendrix. The ensemble also includes Lenny Stern on guitar, five-time Grammy nominee Bob Franceschini on saxophone, and Edmond Gilmore on bass. Stern, named "Best Jazz Guitarist of the Year" by Guitar Player magazine in 1993, is known for a playing style that displays a variety of tones, from sensitive to hard-edged and wild.

Tata Theatre | November 23, 2025 | 6.30 pm An NCPA Presentation
The International Jazz Festival concludes with the chameleonic Brian Bromberg, known as one of jazz's most versatile artistes. His recordings span big band swing and smooth jazz, Latin rhythms and tender balladry, raucous funk and blistering rock. This performance marks his first return to India since 1980, when he performed with jazz pioneer Stan Getz at The Jazz Yatra festival.
Grammy nominated for Best Contemporary Jazz Album for his album "Downright", Bromberg will be joined on the NCPA stage by Grammy nominated arranger and pianist Tom Zink, drummer Charles Ruggiero who has toured with Marilyn Manson and recorded with Arturo Sandoval, soul-trumpeter Lin Rountree, and saxophonist Doug Webb who has recorded music for hundreds of movies and television programs including Million Dollar Baby and Gran Torino.
