The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) marks International Jazz Day with a special evening led by acclaimed Singaporean vocalist Alemay Fernandez, bringing her signature blend of jazz, soul, and contemporary influences to the stage. Alemay Fernandez, a veteran of the Asian jazz scene with a career spanning over 25 years, is the only Asian jazz singer to have performed with prestigious ensembles such as the Count Basie Orchestra, the Duke Ellington Orchestra, and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. She has also shared the stage with renowned artistes including David Foster, Gregory Porter, and Incognito, and continues to tour internationally, headlining prominent jazz venues across New York, San Francisco, and Boston. Known for her sultry tone and powerful stage presence, her performances are both immersive and dynamic.

Her repertoire reflects both the rich legacy of jazz and its evolving sound, seamlessly blending timeless standards with contemporary interpretations.
