06th October, 2026Shakira's highly anticipated performance, live from Madrid, on Saturday, 3rd October was the most viewed livestream performance by a female artist on Amazon Music to date — breaking all previous records and marking a historic moment for both the streaming service and Latin music.
The 3rd October performance, which was streamed on Amazon Music, Prime Video and Twitch, was broadcast from the final city of Shakira's Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, at her ES Latina European Residency in Madrid.
The record-breaking broadcast is the centerpiece of The Women Shaping Latin Music, the 2026 edition of Amazon Music's annual Music Connects Us campaign celebrating the artists, sounds and cultural movements shaping Latin music. This year's program honors the women who paved the way, celebrates those moving music forward today and creates opportunities for those who come next, launching comprehensive initiatives in education and commerce that carry the message beyond the concert.
The celebration continues with a new Amazon Music Original remix of Shakira’s Dai Dai Spanish Remix (Amazon Music Original), produced by RVSSIAN, and an Amazon Exclusive orange and yellow marble vinyl edition of ‘Laundry Service’ celebrating the album’s 25th anniversary, available only at Amazon.com.
Fans can also explore El Mixtape, personally curated by Shakira, brings together music from the women artists who have shaped her, and fans can also stream (Re) Discover Shakira to revisit the songs that defined her rise, with On Tour, celebrating music from the last chapter of her global tour.
Las Mujeres Facturan Con Amazon Music.
Inspired by the lyric “las mujeres ya no lloran, las mujeres facturan” (“women don’t cry, they cash in”), the Las Mujeres Facturan Con Amazon Music storefront on Amazon.com helps women entrepreneurs bring their businesses to more customers. It is a shopping destination featuring products from women-owned businesses, with a spotlight on Latina-owned brands, alongside merchandise and physical music from female Latin artists, all connecting with customers worldwide. The storefront also features a dedicated space that lets customers meet the women behind the brands in their own words, turning discovery into real support.
Las Mujeres Ayudan Con Amazon Music. Thisbuilds on Shakira’s longstanding commitment to education through her non-profit, Fundación Pies Descalzos. Together with Amazon Music, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and women-in-tech non-profit Laboratoria, the foundation is launching AWS Entrena Latinas, an initiative expanding access to technology skills across Latin America through free training in cloud computing and artificial intelligence, entirely in Spanish. The program’s goal is to reach 1 million women by 2028, driving toward 50% female participation in a field where women hold only 26% of tech roles. Starting in Colombia, students and mothers connected to Fundación Pies Descalzos will be able to take foundational courses and pursue AWS AI certifications, helping them prepare for new career opportunities in music and technology.
Rocío Guerrero, Director of Music, Latin-Iberia, Amazon Music stated, “Shakira has spent more than three decades showing the world what is possible when a Latin woman refuses to accept boundaries around her music, her ambition or her influence. She has helped change how Latin artists are seen on the global stage while using her voice to create opportunities for others. That makes her a powerful embodiment of The Women Shaping Latin Music. This celebration honors everything she has built while looking forward, using the reach and breadth of Amazon to connect music, culture and opportunity in a way that goes far beyond a single moment.”
