The homecoming of the mega celebration of Indian cinema, NEXAIIFA Awards2019 commenced with a magnificent amalgamation of music, fashion and entertainment all on one stage, at the spectacular IIFA Rocks 2019.

Celebrating 20 glorious years, the highly awaited star-studded annual ceremony was hosted for the first time ever in India in the home of Hindi Cinema, Mumbai at Dome NSCI SVP Stadium on Monday evening. A musical spectacle befitting the largest film industry in the world, IIFA Rocks continues to be a platform showcasing musical talents at the global stage with top-notch performances by music maestros of the industry.

A treat for music and fashion lovers everywhere, IIFA Rocks 2019 witnessed a breath-taking commemoration of fun, glamour, delightful acts and surprises with mesmerizing performances all under one roof.

The magical  IIFA Rocks evening celebrated the very best of Indian Cinema with the highest level of achievement through the glamorous IIFA statuette with the felicitation of winners in the Technical categories. One of the highest-grossing Indian film, Andhadhun led the winners list by walking away with 4 awards in the technical category including Screenplay (Sriram Raghavan; Arijit Biswas; Pooja Ladha Surti; Yogesh Chandekar) Editing (Pooja Ladha Surti), Sound Mixing (Ajay Kumar P.B (Post House)), Background Score (Daniel B. George).Tumbbad won 2 awards in the technical category: Sound Design (Kunal Sharma), Special Effects, Visuals (Filmgate Films AB). Other notable winners in the Technical category were Sudeep Chatterjee ISC for Best Cinematography, for Padmaavat, Akshat Ghildial for Best Dialogue for Badhaai Ho, Best Choreography to Kruti Mahesh Midya, Jyothi Tommaar for the song Ghoomar from Padmaavat.

Enthralling the audiences and keeping them glued to their seats were the charismatic host duo for the spectacular IIFA Rocks evening, Radhika Apte and Ali Fazal. The homecoming celebration of the 20th edition of NEXA IIFA AWARDS 2019saw the multitalented Amit Trivedi mesmerize the audience with his epic performance. Captivating the audiences and weaving the magic of IIFA Rocks further were theterrific duo Salim – Sulaiman, singing sensations Neha Kakkar, Jonita Gandhi, Tulsi Kumar,musical genius Ranjit Barot, and the captivating Kutle Khan and Nakash Aziz.The musical extravaganza also saw power-packed Punjabi act performances by talented Jassi Gill, B Praak, Dhvani Bhanushali at IIFA Rocks 2019.

Furthermore, adding glamor to the evening celebrity duo Shantanu and Nikhil and Masuuma Namjoshi presented a fashionable mélange of exquisite and gorgeous designs on the ramp.
