With the primary purpose providing ration and hygiene kits to the daily wage earners of rural India affected by the ongoing pandemic, Light of Life Trust announces its forthcoming musical fundraiser, an online concert “Aage Bhi Jaane Na Tu - Celebrating the Legend Asha Bhosle” by talented and versatile singer Sanjeevani Bhelande on Sunday 10^th May at 9 pm (IST).

The concert is a tribute to the genius of Asha Bhosle. With over 1000 Hindi movies to her credit, a career spanning over 6 decades and a repertoire as diverse as Ashaji – this living legend needs virtually no introduction. Suffice to say, gems like Aaiye Meherban, Sajna hai mujhe, Nigahen Milane ko, Jhumka gira re, Ina mina dika, Dil cheez kya hai, Aage bhi jaane na tu and several others will make the evening a music connoisseur’s delight. Trivia, anecdotes and facts about Asha Bhosle intersperse the show.

Light of Life Trust is raising funds to support 6460 beneficiary families in rural India. Focus areas in Maharashtra are Nandurbar, Washim, Jalna, Ahmednagar, Raigad and a few other districts.

This online event is on Mother’s Day (10^th May), a day dedicated to mothers the world over. A mother is the pivot of the family and always puts the needs of her children and family above hers. This day we attempt to reach out to the mothers who are also the bread winners for the families, who toil hard in our villages to ensure that their family sleeps on a full stomach and celebrate those that make our homes a safe haven in these unprecedented times.
