Bringing the Best of Independent Music from the Indian Landscape in a concert Soundscape.

Soundscapes beginning on the weekend of World Music Day, brings to fore the rich and inclusive music from across the Indian landscape. The program will host live virtual performances every fortnight. It will feature a selection of popular artists from a variety of independent genres including popular music, sufi, tribal, regional and the unending list of folk styles with rare instruments, melodies and words that transport the audience to places across space and times.

Soundscapes will debut with a three - day fest starting from 19th June to 21st June featuring popular Rajasthani folk musician – Mame Khan on 19th June, followed by award-winning Sufi artist - Kavita Seth on 20th June and culminating with popular music performance by Dr Palash Sen with Euphoria on 21st June.

Mame Khan also known as the signature Folk voice of Rajasthan, has taken an ancient musical legacy from the golden Thar Desert to the screens of Bollywood and to more then 60+ countries, celebrating the finest of Folk Fusion with the 21th century audience. Known as an exceptional live performer, famed as a Bollywood playback singer, celebrated for his super hit on Coke Studio, awarded for his unique compositions and loved for his colorful persona - Mame Khan is The Folk Star of Rajasthan.

A name synonymous with Sufi music in this country, Kavita Seth's soulful voice is a pure blend of divinity and love. From her debut Maula to Mora Piya Mose Bolat Nahi to her claim to fame, Iktara in ‘Wake Up Sid’ and many others, each song she lends her voice to promises to stay with people forever.

With this initiative of a concert, the company which has been focused on nurturing and promoting the Indian classical performing arts, is expanding its efforts to also include other genres of Indian music, bringing its followers a complete bouquet of music representing the entire Indian landscape.

The performances will be live-streamed on www.facebook.com/HCLConcerts at 7 pm on the days mentioned and will feature popular artists in stand-alone performances every fortnight going forward.
