Aswekeepsearching frontman Uddipan Sarmah started his solo career couple of months back with a song Puhor. As an artist he has been determined to staying productive even under the lockdown and moving forward. His new song Zindagi was released on 10^th July 2020 on all streaming platforms. Right from song writing, to starting his new podcast “Let it Flow”, Uddipan has also completed a new EP with his band which is scheduled to be released later this month.

“This lockdown has pushed me to think more, to pause, breathe and go deeper into my imaginations to explore and rediscover myself as a human being and a musician. I have started learning, writing & recording my thoughts being alone in my house in Pune. More about what I feel at this moment, NOW, where my body and mind belongs. I would like to continue this practice even after this period gets over and keep writing.” Sarmah quotes.

“Aswekeepsearching is a band and it takes time to write a song together as a team, that is a different fun all together & it's beautiful. But I have more happening in my current life, every single day. By using the minimal resources and skills I have and not expecting anything out of this, I want to speak my heart out. I would not be sticking to any particular genre or style of music, but take it the way I evolve with time.” Sarmah adds.

Zindagi, was Uddipan’s first ever solo song written back in 2012. After seven years, him and Sanjay Kumar, his producer back then who is now part of the progressive outfit from Bangalore called Foi, took interest in recreating the song to a new version. This song is nostalgic to Uddipan’s journey so far throwing light to recall his roots while starting out as an independent musician. It talks about the tough journey we all go through as individuals while never giving up on what we believe by being strong and happy even with tears and hardships.
