Singer – songwriter Siddhant Goenka releases third single the pop rock ‘Farishtey’

Kolkata based singer – songwriter Siddhant Goenka is going all out to carve a niche for himself in a competitive Indie music industry. Just months after his super successful Pari came out, creating a storm becoming India’s first ever A Motion Picture Music Video, garnering new fans for the singer, getting featured on Rolling Stone online magazine and also traction on Spotify, out comes a new single ready to rock you.

The singer recently released his new single Farishtey and by the sound of it, its another hit in the making. Says the 32 year old multi talented singer, “In the initial stages, I envisioned the song to be named "Barish" and had planned a conventional structure with a verse, chorus, and bridge in that order. However, as I and my co - pilot Pratham (Sheth) sat down to work on the song's structure, a new idea emerged. We felt a strong inclination to start the song with the bridge, finding it more spiritually resonant and divine. This shift in perspective led to the renaming of the song as "Farishtey." Like Pari, Farishtey too isan AI Motion Picture Music Video generated with AI tools with all characters made by using AI tools.

Driven by love for experimentation, Siddhant decided to break away from the usual pattern seen in his first two releases. The idea of placing the bridge at the beginning of the track, with its deep vocals, added a unique touch to the composition. This change in both the song's name and structure reflects Siddhant Goenka's creative journey and his willingness to explore different musical expressions.

Farishtey, is an intense pop-rock ride through pain and shattered promises. When he sings 'Baarisho bheegay hum,' the word 'Barish' is a metaphor for emotional pain and turmoil, followed by that numbness we all feel. The lyrics speak about powering through difficult times, with a nod to a higher power, as the line 'Farishtey hai mujhse kahe aa chal tu ghar lot chal,' suggesting that divine help during hard times and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. Here, Siddhant starts the song with the 'bridge' part of the song instead of the verse.

When it comes to writing, tunes keep playing in Siddhant's head while he's lost in lyrics. He's thankful to the Almighty for this creative kick – being a songwriter feels like meditation to him. Like Rick Rubin says, "if he doesn't bring an idea to life, it might find its way through another creator."

Siddhant's songs come together in this mix of tunes and lyrics. He's got this deep acknowledgment of a higher power guiding the whole creative journey.

Besides Pari, Siddhant also has songs like Kaachi Raahon Pe and Jazbaat in his kitty and is working hard towards his next song, which he says is not far away.

We can’t wait for the day to come, but for the moment lets bask in the rock sound of Farishtey, which is already in the Top Ten spot on Spotify’s Naya Indietstan Playlist, part of the 50 Indie songs.
