Universal Music India has announced a strategic licensing agreement with Blisstainment, a brand owned by Basking Shark Private Limited, a leading player in the physical music distribution space.

Under the agreement, Blisstainment will be the official licensor and distributor of vinyl records from Universal Music India’s rich domestic repertoire. This will make some of the most iconic Hindi film soundtracks and I-pop albums remastered for Vinyl, available to music connoisseurs across the country on high-quality 180g 12-inch records.

This partnership marks a significant step toward reviving the vinyl experience in India while preserving and celebrating the country’s rich musical legacy. The first three major releases under this agreement -  the iconic soundtracks of the popular films  Bombay, Yeh Vada Raha and Rocky is now available, with distribution through select music retailers and online platforms nationwide.
