08th August, 2025The latest single High Time by BBC 2 playlisted, Asia-based, indie-artist Druv Kent is a burst of rhythmic, lyrical, pop-rock about finally finding time for oneself away from the corporate ladder and the madding crowd.
The song is written and composed by the award-winning, chart-topping singer songwriter, an ex-banker himself who has literally lived this exact experience.
High Time is produced by Druv’s long-term UK-based collaborators, Simon Edwards (Fairground Attraction, David Gray) and Calum MacColl (Ronan Keating). The song features the keys of Mikey Rowe (Sheryl Crowe, Oasis), the drums of Clive Deamer (Radiohead, Portishead), the guitars of Calum MacColl (Ronan Keating), and the bass of Simon Edwards (Fairground Attraction, David Gray).
High Time is the first of four songs off Druv Kent’s soon-to-be released EP “On Time”, releasing Nov 2025.
Druv Kent is regarded among the world’s leading indie composers, singer-songwriters and creative musical artists, recording in both English & Hindi. His 2015 debut made him the 1st Asia-based artist supported in 20 yrs by BBC Radio 2. He’s had a number of songs go viral, won several music awards for songwriting and live performance, had songs top the World Indie Music Charts and the Euro Indie Music Charts, on the US Top 20, and had his music licensed to Amazon Prime and other OTT services.
Over the years, Kent’s collaborated closely with UK- based Tim Bradshaw (John Mayer, David Gray), Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers, Melanie C), Calum MacColl (Ronan Keating), Simon Edwards (Fairground Attraction), Doug Carr (The Corrs, Ace of Base, Dr Alban), Tony Malm (Eric Saade, Emma Andersson, Lambretta), and Gaurav Godkhindi (Sanam). Kent has composed and sung for Bollywood, written what has been ranked as a Top 10 ranked Hindi patriotic song of all time, composed India’s World Cup cricket music anthem, and is working in parallel on collab projects in the UK, Nashville and Mumbai.
In addition to working on the release of the “On Time” EP, Druv is finalizing the recording of some Hindi songs and what may be a pathbreaking fusion EP combining his two worlds of English and Sufi music.
