Singer-songwriter Zian B returns with her most vulnerable release yet. Her new single Fallin’ captures the raw ache of heartbreak and the quiet, transformative strength that follows.

Written and composed by Zian, the song was produced by Netherlands-based Artist & Educator  Tizaan Alphonso. Listeners familiar with her earlier tracks Ace of Spades and Uncertain, may know her to be a jazz artist, but with Fallin’, Zian steps into new territory, blending R&B, soul, and gospel influences into an intimate ballad.

The track opens with a soft confession: “I’d wake up every morning and I’d feel so low / My mind a battlefield, I was fighting a war you know.”  Layered with gospel harmonies and RnB phrasing, it builds into a chorus of quiet resilience: “Every day was a struggle, I tried to hold on / I knew that I had to be strong.”

Reflecting on the song, Zian shares, “I first wrote a version of Fallin’ many moons ago, when I was younger and in a relationship that left me completely broken. I truly believed we’d build a life together, and it took a long time to let go of the dreams I’d built around that. It also came with the sting of betrayal — seeing clearly that the trust I’d placed in that love wasn’t returned. Writing this song helped me face the truth and grieve what was. I think that’s how healing begins: when you start seeing things as they are, not as you hoped they’d be. Years later, while fooling around on the piano, this melody poured out of me — and I ended up channeling all that heartbreak into something achingly sincere.”

She adds, “I hope this song reaches anyone who needs to grieve and heal from a broken heart — anyone lying awake at night, trying to move on from someone they loved deeply.”

With its stripped-back production and vocal-led performance, Fallin’ feels both deeply personal and universally resonant — a reminder that healing only begins when you finally surrender to the fall.
