‘Dekh Tu Aakar’, the final track from Tanmay Batra’s debut EP, APART, out now.

Hailing from Gurugram, Tanmay is an emerging force in India’s R&B and hip-hop landscape, known for blending moody, cinematic melodies with poetic Hindi lyricism. His music is rooted in emotion and storytelling, drawing inspiration from global icons such as Khalid and Bryson Tiller while shaping a distinctly Indian voice within contemporary soul. With haunting rhythms, lush production, and raw vulnerability, Tanmay’s sound lingers long after the final note fades.

A graduate of Berklee Abu Dhabi, Tanmay has built a career that bridges artistry and technical mastery with ease. His background score for the documentary Seeking Stability earned the Best

Original Score Award at the Asian Talent International Film Festival, with the project also screening at multiple international festivals.

Beyond film, he has worked as a sound designer for immersive audio storytelling platforms, crafting sonic environments that deepen emotional connection and elevate narrative experiences.

In August 2024, Tanmay began unveiling his debut EP APART, introducing listeners to a deeply

personal blend of Hindi R&B and contemporary soul. The project continued with “Kyun, ” which expanded the EP’s emotional and cinematic scope through themes of love, heartbreak, and introspection.

Now officially out, APART has steadily found its audience, crossing 75,000 streams on Spotify to date. Across its three tracks, the EP captures the quiet spaces between connection and separation.

The sound is intimate, reflective, and emotionally unfiltered. Standing at the intersection of vulnerability and innovation, Tanmay continues to shape a new direction for Hindi R&B, one where emotion is not just expressed but deeply experienced.
