03rd February, 2026This year, Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival (VUWMF) returns not just as another chapter, but as a milestone of reflection and celebration, marking ten years of a journey sparked by a simple belief: music has the power to connect the world.
The festival will take place from 6th - 8th February 2026 in Zinc City - Udaipur and continues to welcome audiences to be part of a cultural experience shaped by sound, stories, and shared emotion.
At the heart of the festival lies a deeply rooted vision - bringing world music from across the globe to Indian audiences while simultaneously promotingand preserving forgotten musical instruments and traditional sounds of Rajasthan. Staying true to this vision, the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival stands out as the only music festival in the country structured around the three natural moods of the day.
The upcoming edition spread across 3-days will feature 20 bands from 10+ countries, representing a rich tapestry of musical traditions. From folk and indigenous sounds to contemporary global expressions, various artists will come together to offer performances that celebrate diversity while reminding us of our shared humanity.
The festival experience will unfold across three iconic venues in Udaipur, each offering a distinct mood and musical journey. Morning performances at Manji Ka Ghat will focus on music rooted in meditation, introspection, and mental well-being set against the calm waters and serene surroundings of the ghat. As the day transitions, afternoon sessions at Fateh Sagar Paal, will explore a more romantic and emotive expression of music, creating an atmosphere of warmth, connection, and lyrical storytelling by the lake. The festival will culminate each evening at Gandhi Ground, bringing together high-energy, contemporary, and pop-driven sounds transforming the space into a vibrant celebration of rhythm, movement, and collective joy.
As the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival marks ten years of storytelling through sound, it has quietly grown into one of India’s most distinctive cultural gatherings. Set against the iconic lakes, ghats, and historic landscapes of Udaipur, the festival has consistently brought together artists and audiences from across countries creating a space where traditions meet, cultures converse, and music becomes a universal language.
