22nd April, 2026After a fabulous performance at the historic Victoria Memorial Hall, Kolkata on 8th March 2026, presented by the Consulate of France in Kolkata, ‘Nuit d’étoiles’ (Starry Night) arrives in Mumbai on Monday 27th April at the Prithvi Theatre, to regale audiences with music that promises to transport the audience beyond the recital hall.
Led by soprano-composer Cheryl Bains an international ensemble of five women take the stage as a landmark moment of women-driven artistic excellence and global cultural dialogue. The multi-city tour designed to bring world-class mastery, story-telling and visionary empowerment to India’s elite audiences. The lineup includes Steinway Artist Nadine Crasto, celebrated string players Fiona Rouse, Martina Charles, Eshvita Menezes and Dielle Braganza.
While vocal recitals globally often rely on a single piano, this tour elevates the form into a cinematic concert experience. By integrating a string quartet and piano ensemble ‘Nuit d’étoiles’creates a sophisticated bridge between the intimacy of a solo recital and the rich layered resonance of a larger instrumental ensemble.
In a profound display of artistic agency, Cheryl Bainsleads the tour not only as Soloist but as Composer, Orchestrator, and Arranger. These bespoke orchestrations and arrangements were crafted specifically for this multigenerational, international ensemble of women, representing art in its most empowered and self-governed form.
