PVR Inox ‘Live on Stage’ elevates the cinematic experience, bringing music, storytelling, performance and live arts closer to audiences

PVR Inox continues to strengthen its alternate programming platform, PVR Inox Live on Stage, an initiative that brings music, poetry, storytelling, performances, conversations, and other forms of artistic expression into cinema spaces.

Conceived as a fan-first IP, it is designed to spotlight emerging and established talent, offering them meaningful visibility through immersive live experiences that help them engage with existing fans while reaching new audiences.

Leveraging the scale and immersive environment of PVR Inox, the platform aims to redefine how talent is discovered, experienced, and celebrated, creating shared cultural moments that bring diverse voices and audiences together. As cinemas evolve beyond traditional movie-going, the platform reflects PVR Inox’s vision of transforming cinema spaces into cultural destinations that inspire creativity, connection, and community engagement.

As part of this initiative, Live on Stage presents a special Pride Month celebration on 17th June featuring an exclusive live performance by Sushant Divgikr, also known as Rani KoHEnur. One of India’s most celebrated and trailblazing performers, Sushant has consistently broken barriers across music, performance, fashion, and LGBTQIA+ representation with fearless individuality and a powerful stage presence. Known for blending music, storytelling, glamour, humour, and emotion, their performances are both deeply personal and celebratory, making them a fitting choice to inaugurate Live on Stage. The Pride Month special at PVR Inox will celebrate identity, freedom, and community while offering an immersive fan experience that brings audiences closer to the artist.

In alignment with PVR Inox’s commitment to leveraging cultural platforms for social impact, proceeds from the performance will be directed to The Rani Fund, the programmatic arm of the Sandhuro Rani Bijli Trust, established by the Bijli family. The Rani Fund works at the intersection of storytelling, advocacy, and community partnerships to support marginalized women and children, using culture as a tool to build awareness, shift mindsets, and channel resources toward communities that need them most.

Talking about the initiative, Nayana Bijli, Lead – Distribution and Licensing, PVR Inox Ltd, and Founder of Sandhuro Rani Bijli Trust, said, "Live on Stage is an exciting new chapter for PVR INOX as we continue to evolve our cinemas into spaces that go beyond movie-going and become destinations for culture and community experiences. The platform is designed to give both emerging and established artists an immersive stage to connect with audiences in an intimate and engaging way. We are especially proud to present this Pride Month celebration featuring Rani KoHEnur, an artist who truly represents individuality, fearless expression, and the spirit of inclusivity. Through Live on Stage, we hope to create meaningful and memorable experiences for audiences while celebrating diverse voices and artistic expression. We are also grateful that The Rani Fund can be a part of this event and that a portion of the proceeds will go towards supporting members of the queer community."

Adding to this, Sushant Divgikr aka Rani KoHEnur said, “I am thrilled to be kicking off Live on Stage at PVR Inox. It’s a wonderful platform for both established and emerging artists. There’s something incredibly powerful about taking the stage and turning performance into purpose. Performing live for a cause so close to my heart with proceeds going to The Rani Fund, supporting members of the queer community, makes this evening far more meaningful than just entertainment. It’s about visibility, dignity, joy, and creating spaces where everyone feels seen, celebrated, and supported."

Tickets for the Live on Stage Pride Month Special featuring Rani KoHEnur are available on the PVR Inox app and website, as well as on BookMyShow.
