02nd July, 2026India’s most exclusive, ultra-luxurious cultural experience returns to Goa with ‘Malhar & The Sea.’ Like its earlier successful editions, the festival is designed as a curated getaway where music, art, and hospitality come together. The immersive residential format blends a premium vacation experience with intimate performances by leading multi-genre artists.
The three-day residential arts and music festival will take place from 24th July to 26th July at the Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa, with monsoon elevating the stunning beauty of the coastal backdrop. Organised by Showhouse, ‘Malhar & The Sea’ is envisioned as a ‘luxury musication’ that blurs the lines between traditional and modern art forms, offering additionally an intimate glimpse into Goa's lyrical monsoon that tends to unfold like a timeless raga.
On day one (24th July, 2026), the line-up includes a Dhrupad performance by Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar, Carnatic vocals and Abhang by the Raga Sisters-Ranjani and Gayatri-followed by a musical theatre performance by Danish Husain titled ‘Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shayar Hoon.’ The opening night will also feature Sufi music by the Tasawwur Ensemble, led by Shivam Bhardwaj.
Day two will begin with a bhajan recital by Anup Jalota, followed by a Khayal and Thumri performance by Ronkini Gupta. The evening highlights include ‘Gaayeki Ang Sitar’ by Ustad Shujaat Khan, Ghazal and Geet by Priyanka Barve, and Wanted Yesterday's evocative tribute to 'The Beatles’, the most iconic band ever that revolutionized world music and also shared an intimate relationship with India.
The final day of the festival will begin with a breakfast accompanied by a ‘Fado Unplugged’ session by Nadia Rebello.
Across all three days, along with the top-tier hospitality and matchless concert experience, guests can also enjoy a themed culinary gala curated by Taj Exotica’s award-winning chefs, complemented by a selection of premium beverages and signature cocktails crafted by expert mixologists.
Says Anup Jalota, "It is not often that musicians perform in a setting that has been designed for a meaningful exchange. This experience is not like a regular concert where you leave once the curtain falls. There are time and space here for conversation and interactions that enrich both the artist and audience."
Danish Husain adds, "For me, this is a beautiful opportunity to shed light on the extraordinary life and poetic brilliance of Sahir Ludhiyanvi. In fact, over 18 Sahir classics will be sung on stage live to celebrate his vast body of work. To bring this rich musical treat in an unhurried way before a discerning audience is going to be very fulfilling. In a way , this musical play reminds listeners that traditional art of storytelling in India was closely linked to music. The music, the lyrics and the vocals in this offering perfectly align with the theme: “One India, Many Voices.”'
The festival format will also allow guests to interact with artists in a residential setting, while the wellness and leisure focused programmes will ensure an unforgettable, mesmeric once-in-a-lifetime experience. ‘Malhar & The Sea 2026’, brings together a wide range of arts under one roof.
