New Delhi-based melodic house producer Blu Attic continues to carve out his own space within India’s electronic music landscape with Out of Reach, via Indo Warehouse, the New York-based label and collective.

Built around Blu Attic’s long-standing interest in bringing Indian classical and traditional Indian elements into electronic music, Out of Reach pushes that approach into darker territory. Driving, tech house-driven rhythms sit alongside highly melodic writing and an unusually dark harmonic palette, creating a record that feels equally suited to the dancefloor and to more introspective listening.

At the centre of the track is a simple but deeply personal emotion: watching someone important leave and being left to process everything that follows. Out of Reach captures the emotional weight of someone’s absence, and the sense of disorientation that can follow when something meaningful comes to an end.

The record also draws from an old Indian classical composition, reinterpreting that musical foundation through Blu Attic’s contemporary electronic language. It reflects the wider approach that has come to define his work — bringing Indian musical influence into melodic house without relying on familiar sonic clichés, and allowing those references to sit naturally within the music.

Speaking about the track, Blu Attic shares, “Out of Reach is the closest I've come to making music that truly sounds like me. For a long time I've been trying to move away from the pop sounding chord progressions and overused clichés that are so common in dance music, and instead create something that feels genuinely original. This record is my attempt at doing exactly that. Every musical decision, from the harmony to the atmosphere, was made to create a sound that feels deeply personal and unmistakably my own.”

With Out of Reach, Blu Attic brings these different strands of his identity together — Indian musical influence, darker electronic production, melody and emotion in a track designed not simply around a genre, but around a sound that increasingly feels unmistakably his own.
