Universal Music India releases IndiLat, Maleh and Akapellah’s new global pop record Muevete, bringing cultural diplomacy to life through music

IndiLat describes Muévete as a historic musical collaboration between India, Venezuela and Chile. At its heart are four artist-producers: Siddhant Bhatia and Raghav Mehta from India, Cristóbal “Tibo” Gajardo from Chile, and Raniero Palm from Venezuela, joined on the record by Venezuelan singer Maleh and rapper Akapellah.

Loaded with multi-GRAMMY®️ Award winners and nominees, Muévete is, in IndiLat’s words, a first in the world of Latin pop, bringing this depth of Indian and Latin American musical talent together on one record.

Muévete represents music as cultural diplomacy: artists from distinct traditions meeting not to dilute their identities, but to create something together that could not have existed in isolation. That idea is audible from the first seconds.

Indian konnakol opens the record. Sitar and tabla enter a landscape of Latin percussion, guitars, drums and Venezuelan horns. Spanish carries the song, while Sanskrit appears through an invocation to Ganesha, the elephant-headed Indian deity associated with beginnings. The result is not a cultural collage. Every tradition keeps its own voice.

This is not fusion. This is recognition.

Musically, Muévete is built to move. Its central instruction is immediate: “Muévete, como si se acabara el mundo.” Move, as if the world were ending. Beneath that pop energy sits the thought that shaped the collaboration itself: movement as an answer to being stuck. The lyric “Decido mover mis pies, olvidar lo que fue” becomes the turning point of the song. Move first. Everything else can follow.

The record brings together musicians and creators working between India and Latin America across guitars, bass, percussion, drums, brass, sitar, tabla and vocals, with production by Siddhant Bhatia, Raghav Mehta, Cristóbal “Tibo” Gajardo, Raniero Palm and Devraj Sanyal. Mallika Thakkar, Sakshi Gurnani and Raniero Palm serve as Executive Producers, with the track mixed by Eduardo Martínez.

For IndiLat, Muévete is the first chapter of a larger musical language: culturally rooted, built through real exchange and designed to travel.
