Produced by Karan Kanchan, NOKKANDA brings together the distinct voices of ARJN, KDS and Fifty4 with Karan’s dynamic production, creating a new collaboration that builds on the energy surrounding the artists while taking the story in a different direction. The track speaks to the less visible side of an artist’s journey, the sacrifices, the doubt, the moments of questioning and the decision to keep going when there was no guarantee of where the road would lead.

Seeing a Malayalam song reach No. 1 and connect with people at that scale was something we dreamed about, but the journey to that moment was much longer and more uncertain. NOKKANDA is about everything that came before, the doubts, the setbacks, the work and the decision to keep believing even when there was no proof it would pay off. Bringing Karan into this one also gave us a chance to approach that story from a fresh musical space.”

KDS adds,“Kalyani showed us what can happen when the music finds the right audience, but NOKKANDA takes us back to the process behind it. It’s about the highs and lows, the lessons, the people around us and all those moments that shape you as an artist. Working with Karan brought a different energy to that story, and I think you can hear that in the track. It feels honest to where we are right now.”
