03rd October, 2026The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) presents its annual music festival, One World Many Musics: Celebrating Artistic Plurality, a two-day festival bringing together distinct musical voices and traditions that demonstrate the evolving relationship between Indian and international musical forms.
The festival features singer-songwriter and composer duo Garvit-Priyansh, whose music blends traditional Indian melodies with orchestral elements from Bollywood, and Rakesh & Friends (RAF), led by Grammy-winning flautist Rakesh Chaurasia and featuring accomplished instrumentalists from diverse musical backgrounds. Through these varied musical expressions, the festival celebrates music as a means of cross-cultural understanding and a reminder of our shared humanity. Come and experience two distinct musical journeys that explore the possibilities of blending traditions, instruments and contemporary influences.
Day 1 – Garvit-Priyansh
Experimental Theatre | October 9, 2026 | 7.00 pm An NCPA Presentation
Garvit Soni and Priyansh Srivastava, popularly known as Garvit-Priyansh, present an evening of music that brings together traditional Indian melodies with orchestral elements drawn from Bollywood. Largely rooted in Hindi, their music explores themes of love, longing and nostalgia, with Priyansh also writing the lyrics, giving their songs a personal dimension.
The singer-songwriter and composer duo are known for songs including Kahe Mose and Kagaz and have also contributed to the album of the web series Musafir Cafe. Their music draws on familiar Indian melodic sensibilities while incorporating contemporary orchestral arrangements, creating a sound that reflects their diverse influences.

Day 2 – Rakesh & Friends (RAF)
Jamshed Bhabha Theatre | October 10, 2026 | 7.00 pm An NCPA Presentation
Led by Grammy-winning flautist Rakesh Chaurasia, Rakesh & Friends (RAF) brings together instrumentalists trained across Indian and Western musical traditions. The ensemble features Gino Banks on drums, Ojas Adhiya on tabla, Sheldon D’Silva on bass guitar, Sanjoy Das on guitar, and Sangeet Haldipur on keyboard and vocals. Together, they explore the possibilities of combining Indian and international instruments and musical forms.
Chaurasia, nephew and disciple of iconic flautist Hariprasad Chaurasia, has brought together musicians with varied musical backgrounds and expertise. Banks is known for his work across bands and musical collaborations, while D’Silva has worked across pop, rock, jazz, funk and fusion. Adhiya’s tabla artistry has earned him several honours, and Das is also a music composer and arranger. Haldipur, trained in Western and Indian classical music as well as jazz, is a keyboard player, singer and composer. Together, the ensemble explores new musical expressions through an interplay of diverse instruments and genres.
