Singer-songwriter Arslan Nizami returns with Fidaa, a tender indie love song that follows a breakthrough year for the artist, who co-composed and sang the title track of Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara.

Released by Universal Music India, Fidaa explores the vulnerability of expressing your feelings to someone and hoping they feel the same way. Built around an honest, heartfelt confession, the song captures the desire to give someone your all while asking for little more than their presence. Its hook, “Kaise main tum pe hun fidaa,” brings this feeling to life through a simple, relatable expression of love. Through its tender confessions and melody-led sound, Fidaa reflects Arslan’s emotive approach to songwriting, inviting listeners to find a little of their own story in its portrayal of love and companionship.

Arslan’s musical journey spans contemporary independent music and film, shaped by his cultural influences and his father’s musical background. Blending traditional sounds with modern compositions, he brings a personal, melody-driven sensibility to his work. Following releases such as Dil Tarse and Saazish, and his performance of Hoor on Coke Studio Bharat, Arslan continues to explore different facets of his sound while keeping emotion at its core.

Speaking about the release, Arslan Nizami shares, “Fidaa is a melody I wrote 11 years ago, and it’s been with me ever since. A lot has changed since then but the feeling behind the song has stayed the same. It’s special to finally be putting it out after all these years. I hope people connect with it in their own way and make it a part of their story.

With Fidaa, Arslan builds on his growing presence across independent music and film, returning with a song that celebrates the simplicity of being in love, the courage it takes to express it, and the hope of having those feelings returned. The single is available across streaming platforms.
