Elvis #1 Hit Performances (Import)

You will have your feet moving with every song on this DVD. What more do I need to say. On his death anniversary on 16th August, we just cannot forget Elvis Presley and this DVD offers the best images and the best sound possible. I am a long-time Elvis fan and I always love watching the classic performances.

This collection of wonderful performances by the King of Rock 'n' Roll show cases 15 of his number one hits performing a number of his biggest hits in various venues. Culled from his TV guest appearances, movies, and concert films and television specials from 1956, his breakthrough year, to the 1970s (1973) when he reached the pinnacle of his career.

This is the best at his best. See Elvis perform Heartbreak Hotel, his first gold record award winner, shortly after the single's release. Marvel at his Ed Sullivan Show performances of Hound Dog and (from the waist up only) Don't Be Cruel. See the matinee idol croon one of his greatest love ballads, Can't Help Falling in Love, and sing and dance in one of rock music's all-time greatest production numbers, Jailhouse Rock. Experience Elvis in Las Vegas with an energetic delivery of Suspicious Minds and in Hawaii performing a version of Burning Love for a global television audience and many more from film and TV.

This DVD certainly delivered the "goods". Elvis will always live on with his great past performances. Essentially, it is very good DVD with some of his best performances, anybody will enjoy his performances here, Sound is very good and all in all terrific DVD. Here you can enjoy Elvis at his best and when he was still rocking very young and beautiful. This release just proves one more time while he will always be the "KING" not just in music but in our hearts.

As for Bonus Material, there’s the Graceland "Home from the Army" Press Conference which was held in March 1960 and the Press Conference for Madison Square Garden Engagement - June 1972.

Diehard fans would know that the first press conference from 1960 at Graceland is normally 45+ minutes in length, on this DVD you get just over 2 minutes of it and that is poorly edited.

The second New York Madison Square Garden Press conference in 1972 normally runs 20+ minutes, but on this DVD, you only get just over 6 minutes, and it is presented in a "rough cut" form. Sadly nowhere on this DVD, does it state that the bonus features are edited or shortened, so you think that you are getting the full unedited versions, which is sadly not the case.

Here is the entire playlist of the DVD.
