Snoop Dogg: Puff Puff Pass Tour (Import)

Roll with Bigg Snoop Dogg and live the life of the Puff Puff Pass Tour of 2001, as he embarks on 29 US cities and watch how Snoop and crew prepare and unwind from such massive pressures.

The Hip hop legend hits the road in typically outrageous fashion in this documentary, which chronicles the rapper's "Puff Puff Pass" tour. The DVD shows Snoop drooping his trademark rhymes for the sold-out crowds, as well as relaxing backstage and enjoying life on the road with his friends and touring partners Warren G, Nate Dogg, and Bishop Don "Magic" Juan.

As one of the most important rappers in the game, Snoop Dogg has had the ultimate career graph, rising to heights unimaginable and all this during the gangster era of the early '90s with one of the last truly unique MC styles.

This Puff Puff Pass Tour takes the classic road to hip-hop to the heartland. Starting in the fields of Nebraska, this documentary trails Snoop and his crew of MCs and friends (most notably The Bishop Magic Don Juan) as they travel the country, hyping crowds with classic Snoop hits such as Murder Was the Case and Gin & Juice and many other tracks.

This is the authorized video for Snoop's tour and even though it is dedicated to events and situations that have very little connection to the concert, it’s a good dose of music from the man himself. A good portion of the presentation is dedicated to educating the viewer on marijuana. Another portion has Snoop talking about his influence on rap music. There's another segment where Snoop and his tour mates talk about their favorite basketball players and it's followed up by Snoop playing basketball while his friends talk about his basketball talents.

There's a long piece of footage where Snoop and his members speed through ten years of his "greatest hits", which make up most of the concert film here. The artists featured here include with brief interviews are Daz, RBX, Nate Dogg, and a few others, but the majority of the interviews are done with Snoop, Bishop "Magic" Duan Juan, and Goldie Loc of Tha Eastsidaz.

What is really interesting is the backstage concert stuff which is the best part of the show but unfortunately there isn't a whole lot of it. Snoop Dogg takes the camera where no camera has gone before.

Some great moments include shots where Snoop is shown trying to stop smoking weed and the cooling effect it had on his music. Then you can also see an aggressive Snoop and a more sensitive side of him as he coaches his son’s kitty football team. Learn the truth about weed, Marijuana laws and medical Marijuana from UCLA professors. You surely don’t want to miss this.
