I have been a Floyd fan most of my life so I will be rather biased by saying this is an awesome DVD to own and watch multiple times and definitely it’s a must for any fan of the band. Pink Floyd was also one of the bands I featured in my book ‘The Great Rock Music Quiz Book’ a few years ago.

The performance on this DVD is from a series of shows at Earls Court London in 1994 dated as 20^th October 1994 during The Divison Bell Tour. It is a two disc set with disc two devoted almost entirely to Dark Side of the Moon (DSOTM).

The concert footage is awesome and well shot. The backdrop is a large pupil which is used to project videos to the music being played. And of course a Floyd show wouldn't be completed without some laser show added in. Late in the show a large disco ball is lowered from the ceiling then opens up from the middle taking the shape of an apple core.  The live music is reproduced very well with David Gilmour turning out his signature sound and solos. Richard Wright is awesome on keyboards as well as drummer Nick Mason. The supporting cast of 8 was great as well.

Clearly the best concert video I have ever seen from all the Pink Floyd DVDs put together including ‘Live in Pompeii’. The effects (at the concert) are stunning. Floyd played their absolute best. The choice of songs was excellent and covered their entire musical history up to the date of filming.

The show is visually fantastic; choreographed laser light show, huge circular video screen, and the Pigs. With all this going on the band seems hidden, you barely see them on-stage, which makes the video perfect, to see them up close and personal so you don't miss any of the performance while getting to see the band perform.

So going into the songs, you cannot get enough to sing along to songs like Wish you were here / Comfortably Numb / Run like Hell) to the accompaniment of laser lights, explosions, a huge rose hanging from the ceiling with a disco ball inside, huge reflectors onstage, a dancing circular screen, a dancing light stage, lights at the bottom flashing messages and to the music. You couldn’t have asked for anything more than this.

Watching the images on Shine on you Crazy Diamond, realizing the perfect coordination between music-lyrics-lights, is just incredible. It's terrific to see Pink Floyd playing well together in their mega-dynamic way here in the PULSE concert.

They go through many of their hits, most notably all of the bands most successful album ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ and to be experiencing Dark Side of the Moon played front to back, in its entirety, is truly special, because as clichéd as it sounds, that has always been my favourite Pink Floyd album. So you have songs like Speak to Me, Breath in the Air, Time, The Great Gig in the Sky. Money, Us and Them, Brain Damage, is as amazing to especially watch the musicianship of David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright work together.

Before you know it, you’re close to 145 minutes closing time and the concert ends. This recorded performance has to be the next best thing for Floyd fans. This DVD is one musical spectacle I could recommend even to non Pink Floyd fans. It's a stunning final concert from one of the best bands of all time, and a near perfect concert film that may well stand as the best in that genre.
