All Of Those Voices

The most awaited feature documentary film 'All Of Those Voices' was finally released on the silver screen much to the relief of Louis Tomlinson fans in India and around the world.

The film chronicles Louis' highs and lows, from his quick rise to stardom with One Direction, dealing with the fame, to some of the lowest points in his personal life, like breakup of One Direction, the sudden shock of his future without One Direction, losing his close family members, to rising up to establish himself as a successful solo artist, his world tour, and releasing his debut album "Walls".

It’s literally about an artist’s life. How you struggle for it, how your family hoots for you from the very beginning or sometimes they don’t, that’s a different struggle altogether. And once you are up there everything comes to you but nothing you can hold on to.

It’s the same with all celebrities but with different words to it. That's what I felt watching the movie. In his early childhood, his parents got divorced, so from the very beginning it was all down to his hands with his sisters and half-sister, being a supportive person towards his family, especially very close to his mother. In the movie, we come across this emotional experience and the world is yours no matter what, make it happen kind of feeling.

In high school he auditioned for ‘Grease’ a musical play where he got the main role of Danny, he was thrown out of a band which he cited as a motivation for him to audition for the X factor and he failed, again. He went next year where Simon Cowell asked him to sing another song. Things too a turn from there to him being a part of One Direction in 2010, touring all over the world, and we all know the rest is history, but the tragic part was when 1D split up.

When Zayn Malik left in March 2015, Louis knew the end had almost come. Each band member namely Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, were in a mind of their own to go their solo ways and make a solo career. What would the future hold for each of them? This was the question that bothered Louis for a long time until he decided to make it on his own.

Their last performance was again at the X Factor show after which they all went their own solo ways.

Louis was heartbroken. His mother talked him out of it and that was the time when he decided to head on towards his solo career. Soon after that tragedy struck when his mother passed away and not further enough his sister passed away in an accident. This left Louis devastated. He says in the movie that going to one funeral and trying to come out of it and again building up to go for another was a tragic experience.

But he held on to it and broke through, his grandparents, his little son Freddie, who he hardly saw due to his extended travels and his tight schedule was his support. Louis made sure he spent enough time with him and in his later days, Louis is seen taking his son touring with him, playing with him on the beach and backstage while on tour. The film shows us Freddie enjoying his father’s concert, taking photos and videos of his dads performances and singing along every word in shows. His big fat family of siblings are the reason behind retracing his career path.

Just when he was on Tour, the Covid situation erupted, making Louis cancel all his dates. He was on World Tour for 80 consecutive shows, living on vanities and sleeping on flights all at the peak and pandemic hit and the whole world shut down, but not his fans, as soon as all set up back on track. His fans literally camped at the venues of his show in the chilly weather of Iceland and flew to attain chains of concerts.

It was only after an almost two year break did he get back on the road again. In the meantime we also get to see him working on his album.

The main backbone of all that spirit got into him were his fans, they supported him no matter what, they all loved him and still love him so much that we see videos of Louis meeting his fans at his concert. At one concert they literally tear his shirt off, to just hold him and admire him.

Now his new tour Faith in the Future World Tour of 2023 is here for us to go out and watch. This comes after his album ‘Faith in the Future’ the second studio album was released on 11th November 2022 independently through BMG.

The movie gives viewers a raw glimpse into some of Louis' most significant moments through never-seen-before home movie footage. A must watch for One Direction fans.
