Pratika’s melancholic rap about anxiety in 'Scum'

Mumbai based singer/songwriter Pratika Prabhune has released a brand new hip-hop single called Scum a few days ago. The track is produced by Prabhu Neigh and mixed and mastered by Tienas.

Earlier her debut single Burn was produced by Calm from Seedhe Maut. This was followed by To The High produced by Piyush Kapoor (vocalist of hindi rock band Daira). Besides these, she was also featured on Mumbai hip hop artist “Tienas’ second album ‘Season Pass’, singing on The Ballad of Trilodkars.

Scumw as written one evening when her brother (producer name: Prabhu Neigh) made a beat while still experimenting. He wrote lyrics that very instant, and recorded this in one go. The song is an honest conversation about how the artist used to feel her thoughts going astray, along with people’s unwanted opinions that she couldn’t overcome back then. As you listen to the song, you will understand how people have seen the artist - from a heathen, to just batshit

crazy for not fitting into their idea of normal. While she struggled with suppressing extreme thoughts, she I was truly grateful to have my family around in the tough times whether to their knowledge of her my condition or not.
